How to Get to Kushma
How to reach Kushma from Pokhara by bus or jeep on the Baglung highway, plus links from Baglung and Beni.
The short answer: Kushma is about 2.5 to 3 hours west of Pokhara on the sealed Pokhara–Baglung highway, reached by regular bus, shared jeep, private car or a bungee operator's shuttle. It is one of the easiest adventure destinations to reach in Nepal — a comfortable day trip from Pokhara, and a natural stop on the road toward Baglung, Beni and Lower Mustang.
From Pokhara
This is how most travellers arrive. Buses and shared jeeps leave through the day from Pokhara's Baglung bus park, dropping at Kushma bazaar in around two-and-a-half to three hours along the winding hill highway. For convenience, bungee operators run shuttle packages that bundle return transport from Pokhara with the jump — ideal for a day trip. A private car or jeep gives the most flexibility and lets you stop for photos along the gorge. The drive itself is scenic, threading through hills and river valleys.
From Baglung and Beni
Kushma is only a short hop from Baglung, just across the Kali Gandaki, and lies on the route to Beni, the gateway to Lower Mustang and Muktinath. Local buses and jeeps connect all three towns frequently, so Kushma slots easily into a longer western loop or a journey toward Jomsom.
Getting around Kushma
The bungee, swing and main suspension bridges are close to town and reachable on foot, by short local jeep ride or via operator shuttles. For village trips to Durlung and Salija, local jeeps and buses serve the area, or you can walk in.
